MapleStory : Facebook Iteration Begins Closed Beta

MapleStory Adventures is the new 'tie-in' Facebook game based on the MMORPG, MapleStory. MapleStory Adventures has entered its closed beta phase of development. According to press information, on completion of the limited closed beta, the open beta will feature additional areas, new quests, additional customization options and more.

Players will be able to select one of two distinct character classes, the Magician or the Warrior. The game will feature the same style of customization options players have come to love in MapleStory, simplified for the Facebook platform so that players can extend their gameplay experience beyond the PC version. Once players customize their avatar, they can enter Maple World to complete tasks and quests in order to increase their level to gain access to more advanced areas and items. Each area contains a variety of NPCs and monsters as well as new challenges to face and skills to upgrade.

Through the Facebook platform, players will be able to interact with their friends by hiring each other to complete tasks. When hired, friends' avatars will appear alongside the player to help attack monsters through asynchronous play. Players can also send gifts to their Facebook friends that help boost energy, open mystery boxes or access higher level skills.
