Rouges will sometimes use cloak of shadows and negate your cast in game
Healers are usually the best targets, especially if they are a durable healer like a paladin. Without his healing his allies will fall fast. If there is not a healer around
Cabal Alz polymorph the player you feel is the biggest threat.
I usually go after MS warriors because of their debuff and huge burst damage. Other good targets are shamans, warlocks and other mages. But avoid hunters, rogues and druids.
Hunters can still use their pet while Cced so it is better to kill them fast. Rouges will sometimes use cloak of shadows and negate your cast. And druids are immune to almost any form of CC so do not even bother.
Occasionally one of your teammates will break your sheep and let the other player free. In this case it is sometimes better not to reapply the spell.
Polymorph suffers from diminishing returns. Your second application will only last five seconds instead of ten, and since you can only have one target Cced at a time it is usually best to pick a new target that will last longer.
The exception to this is if your original target is a powerful and durable healer that could turn the tide against you.
Mage CC is not just limited to polymorph. While we can not take other players out of the battle completely, we can hinder them with slows, freezes and stuns.
